Ornate Arched Entry Door With Ironwork, Sidelights, and Classical Columns
Overview
Design of a Arkansas wrought iron glass paneled with classic scrollwork design for french provincial homes. With charcoal.
Description
The door is a large, ornate, and arched entryway constructed of dark gray or black material, possibly metal or a dark-stained wood. The design features a central door flanked by two narrower sidelight panels. The primary door has an arched top with decorative ironwork visible through the glass, and a solid lower portion with raised panel detailing. The sidelights echo the arched shape and decorative ironwork of the main door. Above the door and sidelights is a semi-circular transom window filled with elaborate, scrolling ironwork. This ironwork forms a complex pattern of curves and loops. The entire entryway is framed by a black architrave with a keystone at the apex. Flanking the door are white, classical-style columns with decorative capitals and bases. The architectural style suggests a Mediterranean or Tuscan influence. The door hardware appears to be dark-colored, matching the door frame. A rectangular mat is placed in front of the door.
