Arched Double Green Wood Door With Ironwork and Greek Key Design

Overview

Design of a green front door with design for southwestern homes.

Description

The door is a double, arched, solid wood structure painted in a shade of green. The wood grain is visible through the paint. The door features decorative ironwork, consisting of symmetrical, stylized tendrils emanating from the center of each door panel. The ironwork appears to be a dark, possibly rusted, color. The door has two circular doorknobs and a lever handle, all appearing to be made of a metal with a copper or bronze hue and a weathered texture. Each door panel is divided into three sections. The top section is plain, following the arch of the door. The middle section features a Greek key pattern carved into the wood. The bottom section contains a recessed square panel with a rectangular design in the center. The door is set into a wall that is stuccoed and painted a light tan or beige color. Above the door is a wooden lintel and exposed wooden beams. A woven tapestry with fringe hangs above the lintel. To the left of the door is a potted cactus with long, columnar stems and round pads. To the right of the door is another potted cactus with multiple pads. The pots are a terracotta color. The ground in front of the door is concrete.
