Arched Double Wooden Doors With Wrought Iron and Carved Hunting Scene
Overview
Design of a red front door with design for french country homes.
Description
The door is a double door design with an arched top, constructed of wood and painted a red-brown color. Each door panel is divided into two sections. The upper section has a grid of nine rectangular panes of glass, overlaid with a decorative wrought iron design resembling stylized branches and foliage. The lower section of each door features a raised, rectangular panel with a carved bas-relief scene. The scene on both doors appears to depict pastoral or hunting themes. Each door has a circular metal door knocker, centrally located. The door frame is constructed of rough-hewn stone, forming an arch above the door. Red roses are climbing the stone frame, concentrated heavily around the arch. The doors are set on a curved step made of gray paving stones. A large terracotta pot containing a lavender plant is to the left of the door. Rosemary plants are to the right.
