Elegant Arched Double Door With Decorative Ironwork and Transom Window 1
Overview
Design of a Florida wrought iron double with partial scroll design for southwestern homes. With weathered copper.
Description
The door is a double door made of wood with a dark, reddish-brown finish. It features an arched transom window above with intricate, swirling black metalwork. Each door panel has a smaller arched glass window at the top, also with decorative black metalwork consisting of vertical bars and diamond shapes. Below the window on each door is a rectangular wooden panel with decorative metal accents in the corners. The door has simple, vertical black handles. The door is framed by an arched doorway with a light beige stucco finish. The archway is deep-set, creating a shadowed effect. Flanking the door are narrow sidelights with similar glass and metalwork designs. The architectural style appears to be Mediterranean or Spanish Colonial Revival. A decorative rug in shades of brown and gold lies in front of the door on a brick paver walkway.
