Southwestern Style Kansas Entry Door With French Lattice Design
Overview
Design of a Kansas entry door with french lattice design for southwestern homes. With pure white. farmhouse decoration.
Description
The door is a dark wood, possibly stained mahogany or a similar hardwood, and features a central panel with vertical grooves. The top portion of the door has a rectangular section with small, evenly spaced circular openings. Metal studs or rivets are placed along the vertical grooves and around the perimeter of the upper section. The door is flanked by two narrow sidelights with intricate lattice-patterned glass panels. Above the door and sidelights is an arched transom window with a decorative wrought iron design resembling a stylized sunburst or peacock tail. The door frame and sidelight frames are also dark, matching the door's color. The entire door assembly is set within a large, arched entryway with a light-colored stucco or plaster surround. A black doormat is placed directly in front of the door. The architectural style appears to be Mediterranean or Spanish Colonial Revival.
