Ornate Arched Double Door With Ironwork Grilles and Sidelights
Overview
Design of a Kansas wrought iron solid panel with partial scroll design for french country homes. With pewter.
Description
The door is a double door made of dark metal, possibly bronze or a dark-stained wood. The design is ornate, featuring decorative ironwork grilles over glass panels in the doors and sidelights, and an arched transom above the doors. The ironwork consists of scrolling patterns and stylized floral or leaf motifs. The doors themselves have arched tops with circular and curved details within the metalwork. The sidelights are narrow and vertical, also with decorative ironwork and glass. The entire door assembly is set within a large arched entryway, with a cream-colored trim and keystone at the top of the arch. Flanking the door are cream-colored pilasters with simple capitals. The wall surrounding the entryway is a light beige or cream color. Black, ornate sconces are mounted on either side of the door, providing illumination. The windows on either side of the door feature black shutters with decorative ironwork above. A brown doormat with a similar scrolling design lies in front of the doors on a brick walkway.
