Arched Walnut Entry Door With Decorative Ironwork and Sidelights

Overview

Design of a New Hampshire barn door with mediterranean scrollwork design for mountain lodge homes. With antique gold.

Description

The door is a dark wood, possibly walnut or a stained hardwood, with an arched top portion containing clear glass panes separated by dark metal scrollwork. The main part of the door is vertically paneled with a smaller arched window at the top, also with a dark metal grid overlay. Below the window is a horizontal band with decorative metal studs and carved detailing. The door has a long, dark metal handle. Flanking the main door are two narrow sidelights, each with full-length glass panes featuring delicate, dark metal scrollwork designs. The entire door assembly is framed in a lighter wood, creating a contrast with the darker door. Above the door is a large, arched transom window, also framed in the lighter wood. The transom window is divided into multiple panes and has a decorative metal scrollwork design at the top. The architectural style appears to be Mediterranean or Tuscan, with the arched doorway and warm color palette. The surrounding wall is a light beige stucco, and the base of the wall is clad in multi-toned stone veneer. Two ornate, black metal lanterns are mounted on the wall on either side of the door.
