Description

The door is a double-door design, constructed from a dark-stained wood. Each door features an arched top and is divided into vertical panels with ornate, black wrought-iron scrollwork within rectangular glass panes. Flanking each main door panel are narrower side panels, also with similar wrought-iron and glass elements. Above the doors is a large, semicircular transom window filled with more elaborate wrought-iron scrollwork. The door frame is arched and constructed of a textured, light-colored stone or plaster, with brick accents visible within the arch. The archway is topped with a decorative keystone element. Flanking the door are decorative pilasters with intricate carved patterns. Black wrought-iron lanterns are mounted on the wall on either side of the doorway. Two large, dark-colored urns containing green plants are positioned at the base of the pilasters. A red and dark-colored patterned rug lies in front of the door. The wall surrounding the door is a warm, earthy terracotta color. The style of the door and its surroundings suggests Mediterranean or Spanish Colonial architecture.
