Overview
Design of a Rhode Island glass paneled with mediterranean scrollwork design for french country homes. With weathered copper.
Description
A grand, arched doorway features a double door system flanked by sidelights, all constructed from a rich, dark-stained wood. The double doors have a curved top edge and each contains a large, decorative glass panel with a prominent, stylized floral or diamond pattern. The sidelights are narrower, rectangular, and also contain decorative glass panels matching the door design. Above the doors and sidelights, a large semi-circular transom window is filled with intricate wrought-iron scrollwork. The entire door assembly is framed by a thick, white, arched molding, which is further supported by white pilasters on either side. Wall-mounted ornate, antique-style lanterns are affixed to the wall on either side of the door frame. The exterior wall surrounding the door is clad in light-colored, randomly-sized stone blocks. The entrance is accessed via a stone pathway, the first step being decorated with an oval inlay of contrasting stone tiles. Small, manicured bushes flank the base of the pilasters.
