Ornate Arched Metal and Glass Door With Sidelights and Transom

Overview

Design of a Texas steel frame with mediterranean scrollwork design for mediterranean homes. With brushed steel.

Description

The door is a dark, possibly black, metal door with glass panels. The main door is flanked by two narrower sidelight panels. Above the door and sidelights is a large arched transom window, also with a dark metal frame. An ornate, curvilinear metal design overlays the glass in all sections of the door system. The metalwork features scrolling patterns and geometric shapes, creating an intricate decorative effect. The main door has a smaller arched top section matching the design of the transom. The door hardware, including the handle, is a dark metal. The door is set within a large arched opening in a light beige or off-white stucco wall. The arch is trimmed with a smooth, light-colored molding. The architectural style suggests a Mediterranean or Spanish influence. A rectangular address plaque is mounted to the wall near the door. Decorative sconces are mounted on either side of the door, above the sidelights. The entrance is paved with multi-toned rectangular stone tiles arranged in a herringbone pattern. A rectangular doormat with a dark border and a lighter patterned center is placed in front of the door. Low-lying green plants are arranged along the base of the wall on either side of the door. Two rectangular windows with dark frames are visible on either side of the door, above the sidelights.
