Arched Wrought Iron Door With Grape Vine Design Set in Stone Frame
Overview
Design of a West Virginia wine cellar door with design for spanish colonial homes.
Description
The door is set within an arched stone frame. The frame consists of irregularly shaped stones, stacked to form the archway. The stones are rendered in shades of blue. The door itself is a wrought iron design. The upper portion of the door is arched to match the stone frame, and it features a design of stylized grape vines, leaves, and grape bunches. Two griffins flank a shield-shaped emblem at the top of the arched portion. The lower section of the door is rectangular and appears to have a textured or patterned glass panel. The entire door design is outlined in a consistent line weight. The surrounding wall is sketched in light, indistinct lines.
