Elegant Black Wood Door With Arched Transom, Lion Knocker, and Stone Surround
Overview
Design of a black front door with design for georgian homes.
Description
The door is black and constructed of wood. It features a rectangular lower section with four raised panels. Above this is a central section with a horizontal mail slot and a golden lion head door knocker. Flanking the central portion are vertical panels with glass inserts. An arched transom window with radial muntins sits above the door, separated by a horizontal frame. The door is framed by black fluted pilasters with Corinthian capitals. Above the pilasters is a black entablature topped by a triangular pediment. The hardware on the door is gold, including the mail slot frame, knocker, door handle, and keyhole cover. The building exterior is constructed of rough-cut, dark brown stone. Vines with green leaves grow on either side of the door, climbing the stone facade. Two small, bare trees in black urns flank the entrance. A stone step leads up to the door. The sidewalk is paved with red and gray bricks.
